Fresh faces for Halifax school board
"If we listen to each other, respect each other and get the politics
out of it, I think that's when the school board is successful," Yee
said. "We have to make sure that the education is the priority."
Yee is last man standing
...Mr. Yee said he wants "to serve the
people again" but pointed out he’ll be serving more of them if he is
voted back into board chambers...

...Yee says he'd like to serve the people
again. If he's elected, he'll represent a larger district due to
changes that will mean there will be 8 electoral districts instead
of 12...
Ousted members shouldn't get paid
...How self-serving can these people
get? They should follow colleague Gin Yee's example, and return
whatever money they've received since the dismissal...
The school board is seizing the stipends of fired elected members tomorrow.
...In the meantime, former Dartmouth member Gin Yee gave his stipend
back. But others said they felt entitled to keep it...
No stipend for you

was going to give the money back anyway," he said. "We
were relieved of our duties. I don’t think I’m entitled
to my entitlements. So on a personal level, there’s no
change (for) me."...
